How many miles can I put on Jaguar? Preferably and Xtype, but S is a possibility?
Realistically, how many miles can i put on a Jag X or S type before I run into serious issues? My old BMW I put over 200,000 on it before I had problems, I was driving from California to PA constantly and put like 150,000 miles on it like 4 years. My volvo has about 180,000 miles on it with no mechanical problems, just normal maintenance. These were all highway miles, and my BMW was a 2000 my volvo is a 2004. I got rid of the BMW, but now I was a Jag and wanted to know if anyone knew how many miles I can put on it before i run into expensive repairs...
thanks.
LOL, well thanks..... Vince got arrested for beating a prostitute.
If by X type, you mean the new XKS's, you should be able to drive them about forever. The new Jaguars have been rated VERY high in reliability and good engineering. Of course parts will always be more expensive, but you are talking about a REALLY GOOD car. The new ones are nothing like the old ones that had to be fiddled with constantly. Used ones in good shape with 20K-40K miles on them go for $16,000 to $28,000 U.S. Check out a Hemmings Motor News and you will get the best deal. I've been told that the low prices reflect the cost of spare parts, which is probably true. But every person I talked to that has one just LOVES them. They are powerful, smooth, fast, refined, beautifully appointed, and that leather just wraps itself around you. Plus they are really manueverable and sporty. The only complaint that anyone had so far was that when you push them really hard, the front wheels can rub on the body structure. The person who said this is putting in a much stiffer pair of springs to eliminate this, and says if you drive them normally you will never see it. He drives his through Arizona and into Colorado frequently, and as I said, he really pushes the car. Oh....also...the mileage is not that good. But who cares about that!
