Can i put a 3 inch wrx exhaust on my 2.5 rs?

I want to buy a cat back exhaust for my 2.5 ts and the cheapest ones are 3 inches for a wrx. Will the 3 inch exhaust reduce power in my 2.5 ts? Any advice is helpull thanks allot!

It's perfectly possible. In fact I'm going to do that sometime soon and I own a 2.0 WRX. The idea is that you want to make the exhaust as big as possible to reduce the amount of back pressure and increase HP, torque, and fuel economy. Not to mention a 3inch exhaust gives you a much lower tone the the exhaust which for most people is favourable. I don't recommend trying to go bigger than a 3inch simply because it probably won't fit, and there's no huge gain. Going from a 2 and something inch exhaust to a 3inch is going to be very noticeable, but above that, the gain really isn't worth the cost of trying find a place to put something bigger.

From the catalytic converter back (hence catback) there's no difference. The only place you begin to run into any sort of issue is from the heads back, if you're running a header which unless you have a twin scroll turbo is a waste of money.
