How can you tell if a cold air intake is working and placed properly?
I installed an Airaid Cold Air Intake on my dodge dakota, but for some reason something doesn't seem right. The truck seems to perform a little better I think, but it's hard to tell. Does anyone know how to tell if its working at all? like are there signs that its working, and how close should it be to the front bumper, mine is like a foot away. thanks for any and all tips and info
Ensure that it is connected properly. The closer it is to the front, the more cold air gets sucked through. If it is too far back, it has the risk of 'heat-soak' which makes the CAI suck warm air aswel as cold.
