The wiring on my stove exhaust hood?
There is a white, black, and ground. White and black will hook up no problem. Do I attach the ground wire to anything, or leave it out like the instructions suggest?
JS is correct, the ground wire should be connected if there is a ground available. Either a ground wire, or to the metal box in the wall. With no ground, if the range hood was to short, and you touched the hood and the grounded range, you could receive a fatal shock. Grounds are important.
