Does installing a K & N airfilter make your exhaust note louder?
I installed one on my FJ Cruiser and it seems louder now that I've installed this air filter.
It does not make your exhaust louder, the increase in sound comes from the air filter,K&N filters are designed to flow more air to the engine directly,with no restrictions, your stock air filter has sound deadning qualities to make it quiet, it also robs you of power.The K&N takes care of that.
