why does my car backfire only in the morning?
its only when i start for the day like first time use of the day, after a while it stops but its so embarssing!!! how can i get it to stop?? The corvette i have doesnt have a muffler btw. my boyfriend cut it off, says it makes it flow easier and makes the vette faster.
Your boyfriend is full of you know what. Your vehicle has what is commonly known as "morning sickness". This may be caused by a number of things. First I would check for fouled plugs, being old or just worn. Secondly, pull a plug, if there is oil, this could signify a head gasket failure. #rd, you could have an open plug wire. Replace the plugs and wires first. Get a muffler put on. It is illegal in many states not to have one and without doesn't make the vehicle any faster.
