erratic engine temp?

The vehicle is a 94 honda del sol s 1.5L SOHC. My engine temp will rise all the way up to the 'H' on the temp guage, but when I break, or just shift the cars weight to the front, like sitting on a hill. The temp will drop back down to normal within 5 secs. Then upon accelerating, the temp will go back up to H withing 20 or so secs. Also when the temp starts rising, my heater blows cold air. When the temp starts dropping down again. I get my heat back. This just started doing this. I have not opened the cooling system, for months. I did have the side jacked up for an hour or two the other day doing rear brakes.
Also I checked the little plastic fill tank. It was low. So I added some plain water to it (was driving pizzas trying to quick fix it) yesterday. It has been doing it all day. So I looked in the little reservoir to see if it got sucked down. Nope. The clear water is still in there.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like a head gasket. go to you local garage and they can pressure test it or use the old inspection machine to test the vapors inside your radiator.
