MOT report, what does it mean?
Just got my car back from its MOT and got advised that there is a slight leak from inner clip on offside c.v boot. i dont have a clue what this means?? can anyone help me out. Also there was a note saying exhaust corroded and a few years ago my exhaust snapped and i got it replaced from kwik fit with a 3yr warranty so is it normal to be corroded this quickly? I only drive it about 4-5000 miles a year.
Is it worth getting the inner clip replaced or would it be ok leaving it until next year?
When the CV boot starts to leak, the CV joint will eventually fail. The CV joint is part of the front wheel drive axles. It is a fairly common occurance and requires the half axle to be replaced. The axle is around $70.00 and is fairly easy to replace for a DIYer.
I would have the exhaust checked, but unless it's leaking, it should be ok.
