Whats a powerfull but easy motor to install into a vw bug?
I dont have any year vw in mind, but I also dont want to do the modifying I heard it would take to put a turbo porsche motor in unless there is an easy kit, also what kind of brakes would you recommend?
The mid 60's Bugs came with a 1500cc engine, but by 1971 the Super Beetle came with a 1600also, in the early 70's, the bus came with 1700, 1800, and 2000cc engines. Any of thes will easily swap into your 60'-70's Bug. You can also take most of those engines and just buy new cylinders for them, and convert to a larger displacement, like up to 2000cc. that way you get a bigger engine with no conversion problems.
