Floor Fountains – Materials Used

Slate

Probably one of the most common materials used is slate; this provides a very natural effect when combined with the water and creates a stunning looking end result. Slate is a very adaptable product and can be crafted into many different designs which results in a complete array of designs and styles. If you are interested in unusual pieces then slate floor fountains will provide one of the broadest of all ranges, some of the most complex designs are made into tables. Slate can come in different colours so it is possible to get patterned effect floor fountains which combine art and design perfectly to create a superbly eye catching decorative piece.

Stone

One of the first materials used to create the floor fountains was stone. Stone is a very flexible material and can easily be crafted into many different shapes and sizes, due to the nature of the material the stone floor fountains will often be found outside within garden areas. They can be found inside as well but a specific type of area is required for them not too look out of place; generally this would be in larger rooms in office locations or grand houses.

Stainless Steel and Copper

The stainless steel and copper floor fountains will grace any location and can often be found in homes or offices alike. The combination of the water feature and the metal material makes for a dramatic effect and they really create a statement when someone walks into the room. Often the surrounds will be made of the steel or copper and encased within will be mirror effect or patterned designs, there are many different styles and sizes to choose from and they will look superb in any house or office.

Ceramic

The Ceramic styling will add that little extra to any floor space, the floor fountains are usually glazed in a range of colours so it will always be possible to find one that will be suitable for your existing décor. Many of the ceramic designs encompass a tier or layered effect which provides elegance and beauty and they are suitable for indoor or outdoor arrangements. Often people will choose smaller styles which can be moved to different locations within the house or office providing a more flexible option.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass is a very hard and strong material and is ideal when used to make floor fountains, combine this with exceptionally durability and the end results can often look like real stone, with the only difference being the weight. They make an ideal addition to your home or office whether you are looking to have them indoors or outdoors and many are dual purpose and will look great in either environment.

Wood

A touch of class will be added to the room with a floor fountain made of wood. Classical designs mixed in with modern and contemporary slants provide a complete range of products for all environments. The wood casing around the water feature or the water running over the wood always makes for an attractive focal point of any room within the house or building or a garden or patio feature.
