Problems when installing a turbo kit on 98 neon.?
Could someone please explain to me how the Exhaust Manifold, Turbo, Wastegate, and downpipe all go together? Like where they connect. I have a 98 dodge neon with about 310 hp right now and im putting a t3/t4 kit on it. But i dont understand the manifold attachment. Does the downpipe go into the wastegate? Or the turbo? or what. And I CANT FIND A DOWNPIPE ADAPTER FOR A T3/T4 KIT! Any answers would help. Thanks.
Well if you got a kit then the instructions should all be there, if not call the company you bought the kit from and ask them. but all turbos work on this princaple
exhaust manifold hot gases flow to exhaust side of turbo, spins turbo blades, turbo blades on intake side are attached to shaft, intake pulls air from inlet then goes to outlet and then into intake manifold.
spent exhaust goes from exhaust side of turbo to exhaust pipe of down pipe and out tail pipe
