Can I install a Yoshimura Rs3 exhaust can that is currently on my 02 yzf600r onto my 05 gsxr1000?
I just bought a 2005 Suzuki gsxr1000 and as we all know, the can is a monstrosity. I have a 02 YZF600r with a Yoshi Rs3 slip-on. I wanted to harvest the can off me yammy and install it on me gixxer and put the old stock yamaha muffler back on the yzf600. Does anybody know if this will cause any major flow problems with my suzuki? I am aware I will have to have it remapped eventually.
Its a sensible question .
The flow of Yoshi is probably OK for 1000 but i may restrict top end a little? It may mean you don't have to do much in the way of re-mapping . Main thing to do is see if it actually fits. are the pipe diameters the same or will you have to modify a bunch of stuff to get it on bike/
