Anyone had success with Llamas X-Clamp fix kit on an X-Box360?
I got an X-Box360 off of ebay. It arrived DOA with 3 red rings of death. I found a fix kit on Llamas website. Has anyone had success fixing the red lights using this kit? Thanks in advance.
i just did the xclamp fix this past weekend. it works. my 360 used to be hot to the touch on the bottom, but now you can't even feel the heat coming off the machine. i took a dremel tool and cut out some "vents" in the xbox's case (in the back i took out the plastic covering the two fans and cut a small piece on top of the case, right above the power button) this helped the air flow greatly. i was going to add an additional fan, but after the vents, it didnt seem all that necessary. the only difference (if any) is that it takes about 1 second longer to load. good luck.
