air cooled VW Beetle rust repair?
The car has surface rust but nothing really major. I would like to get it fixed as soon as possible. There is rust spots bubbling under the paint. How do I fix that? What do I use to sand it off? What products to I apply to it and how? Also what can be done about the rust that is hidden deep inside the welds/seams of the trunk lid?
Your biggest concern is if the unibody is rusted out look under the doors under the running boards and see if the heat box channels are rusted out. The floor also rusts out so peel the carpet/rubber mat back and take a look.
