Why do people change the mufflers on their cars and trucks to make them loud and offensive?
They call them "after market" exhaust systems, allowed in the state of Michigan after the legislature was bullied by hot rod magazine readers into dropping the bill to ban them.
This is for the same reason they get those nice trucks and cars... They are componsating for what they lack either physically(most common) or mentally.
