think I'll pass the emissions test?
I have an 89 ford 2.9 L. The guy before me put on an aftermarket exhaust, you know..The kind that 2 headers go into one pipe then split back off into to tail pipes. I think it has two mufflers. Well one pipe has a whole the size of a penny in it about 15 inches away from the end of the tail pipe. Do you think I;ll do ok with the emissions? is there anything I can check or do to help pass? I just replaced the spark plugs a few days ago. OH and you should know that on christmas night I ran out of gas coming back home. I did however have the four wheeler gas can in the back,,,,yupp I put in some 2 stroke 50:1 mix and made it to the gas station. I should clean the O2 sensor before I go that may help.

Well, there are specs emissions have to fall into, that means you can't be too low or too high. It is possible to pass emissions with a hole in the pipe, it just depends if enough is making it to the end of the pipe. You might be able to plug it up easily with a ball of aluminum foil.
