I have a 84 non-turbo 300zx & im about to have the engine rebuilt & i want to know if i should have it bored?
I have a 84 non-turbo nissan 300zx with a stock V-6 3.0L engine & im about to have the engine rebuilt & i want to know if i should have it bored out and if so what should i have it bored out to? Is there anything else i should have put on while it's being rebuilt?
These cars were great as is, so I would say to not bore it, UNLESS the cylinders are seriously scored.
If you still have the manifolds on, I would put on a set of headers and new catylitic convertor.
I would also put on a K&N air filter, or such type filter.
Either way, lose the restrictive air box, (keep it, in case of selling the car)
I would also reccomend polyurethane bushings throughout the car.
