2003-2004 Cobra Owners Please help!?
I own a Sonic Blue 03 Cobra and have been experiencing studdering while trying to accelerate. Unable to give full throttle, can barely top hills, and when I do it give it extra gas or gear down to top a hill, the check engine light begins to flash and you think it is going to die. It has 43,000 miles on the odometer, BBK cold air kit, and a H pipe into 40-series Flowmasters. The OBD-II codes say it is my cats but they are not cherry red. If you say the converters are stopped up my next question would be can I simply cut them out and use M.I.L. Eliminators and it solve all my problems. I live in the beautiful road course, two lane roads, of Eastern Kentucky and exhuast fumes is the last thing on our wonderful cops minds, believe me. (More like cutting down everyones patch)
Thanks you for your help, I want to get her back on the road and defend her honor.

From what you are describing it sounds like you are losing fuel pressure. The code you are receiving are most likely p0171 codes. If you are getting catalyst efficieny codes this can be caused by the cats, but something had to cause them to. Check your fuel pressure if it out of spec under load correct that then go from there. Yes you can use the eliminators all they do is mimick the output of a proper downstream o2 signal to prevent check engine lights when remove the cats.
