Honda Prelude Mods 2.2 H22 Vtec?
Ok, I am done with most of the normal mods to my 1995 Prelude. AEM intake, Greddy Exhaust, DC sports Header/Cat, AEM cam gears.. Any idea of where I should look into next.. Except Turbo/Supercharger.. I am trying to stay N/A.
Depending on how much horsepower and torque you are trying to achieve and if you want to stay US smog legal will determine what you can do. With more horsepower and torque you will need to upgrade the fuel system, axles, intake manifold to give balance to the car. If you want to take horsepower and torque to the max you will first need to sleeve the engine block since the H22 walls are thin and can't take much over 300 hp for periods of time. After the engine is sleeved you will want to readjust the compression ratio higher with new pistons and crank and work the way to the top of the engine with new valves, springs, and retainers.
All depending on what you have planned for your ride will determine the direction you will need to go. A road coarse car is set up different than a drag car.
