Honda accord v6 headers question?
I am thinking about getting some headers for my v6 accord
it's bolt on obviously, and connects past the flex pipes to the exhaust from the engine. a basic header assembly.
comes with headers, bolts, gaskets
should i get this professionally installed or is it something i shouldn't be worried about? i've taken my headers off my old car before to replace spark plugs, and reassembled it, would this be kind of similar?
or would it mess with my computer because of air flow and such?
yeah i had to remove the manifold on my old car, a dodge avenger v6 '00, they covered 3 of the 6 spark plugs with the manifold
took FOREVER to do, everything was in the way, battery, intake, hoses, wires, etc. ridiculous. but i'm sure if i can do that i guess headers are the same deal.
putting headers on for everyday driving is not a bad thing, a lot of car's now a days come from the factory with headers, you also need to take and have the collector welded on to the exhaust pipe you can bolt the thing up under the car. as long as everything on your exhaust system stays the same the computer will read everything ok!!! run the engine for a few minutes then shut it off to let the computer reset it self after that you should be ok.
