Why does my computer have 4 slots for RAM on the motherboard?
My pc as listed above has 4 slots for ram. 2 slots have white tabs and 2 slots have black tabs i have two pieces of RAM currently placed in the black slots and it works fine they were in the white slots and that was factory i just moved them to fix my prolem though but i still dnt understand. Is there such athing as a quad channel RAM in 03 PC's????
It's still dual channel, even though there are 4 slots. The color coding just lets you know which banks need to match.
