Installed a t3t4 turbo on my 93 MR2 turbo.. car backfired on test run and won't idle... What's wrong?
Ok... I got a good deal on a t3t4 turbo setup on eBay, took me like two weeks to install because of the customizing of some pipes... Got everything in today except for the exhaust from the downpipe back.
Took it on a test run to make sure it's running right... It was ok in 1st & 2nd, but I noticed the boost wasn't reading, so I dipped the gas down a little bit more to see if it would read, still nothing but the car backfired then started sputtering.... I pulled over and switched it off.... From since then it won't stay idling for mor than 10 seconds... It just sputters, then shuts off... There was a small smell of fuel coming from the engine.
Sounds like your blowing the spark out of your plugs, Did you use a range colder on plugs. try new plugs a 1 heat range colder and open the gap up a little bit bigger than factory .
