Which department, should I choose ?
I have done BS ( in engg. tech ) & am working as an Asst Manager in an Automobile OEM & have 5.5 yrs exp ( 1 yr soft prof,4 yr production, 0.5 yr in R&D ).I am working as Production incharge.I don't have intrest in production.I want specialize profile to jump my salary.I want to switch to some other deptt.is it my right move? I felt Safety could be the right one in terms of salary/opportunities/future scope,what u think?
I have following options..
1. safety ( SHE ) 2.R&D Automobile 3.Purchase 4.Vendor Developement 5.SAP, 6 Project Engg/ PLM
Any other bright field for me? plz suggest..
First off you do not have any rights to a different job. If there is an opening you can request consideration for the transfer. I suggest that you discuss your interest with the boss so when something opens up he will already know you are interested. Don't tell him that you have no interest or don't like you current job just indicate that you feel that you could contribute more in the other position.
