hi flow cat creating alot of heat?
i just got my hi flow cat by megan racing for my 1999 maxima se. i installed it and test drove the car. when i got bak i recalled a slight burning smell so i checked underneath the car and i saw lots of smoke exiting the gasket from cat to y pipe. i could not se anything burning and dont have a thermometer to check for the hottest point. wondering if anyone had some insight as to what is burning and why. or if i need to tighten the bolts more which would require me to purchase a breaker bar.
why is there a cat under your car?
