What's the difference between aluminium exhaust piping and stainless steel?
Which exhaust pipe would be better, in terms of performance, weight (I think it's quite obvious) and durability. Is there actually any real difference in performance, in reference to the material used?
The correct term is "aluminumized" which is steel pipe or mufflers with aluminum coating to inhibit rust. They will eventually rust anyway, so stainless is better. Choose mandrel bent tubing with smooth bends over ones that look like an accordian and a minimum of 2 1/4" pipe for dual exhaust and 2 1/2" for single.
