why do v6 and up only get twin turbo? Why not on a 4 cylinder?
I was wondering why people never put twin turbos on 4 cylinders. is it too small for twin turbo?
V engines (v6, v8, v10, v12, etc. . ) have two cylinder banks - one on each side of the V.
The turbos each get the exhaust gas that powers them, and supply compressed air to, one side of the V.
You can stack turbos (i.e. 2 turbos for one bank of cylinders) but it's generally more practical to use one larger turbo.
